A one-of-a-kind wallet handcrafted from the original pages of a 1995 Australian touring guide.

Escape to the Top End with this slimline wallet, made from pages of BP Explore Australia — The Complete Touring Companion, 1995 Edition, featuring the North Eastern Suburbs of Darwin, Northern Territory.

The map covers The Narrows, RAAF Base, Stuart, Parap, and Winnellie along Tiger Brennan Drive. The back features Nightcliff, Coconut Grove, Millner, Jingili, Moli, Anula, Wulagi, Marrara, Ludmilla, and Darwin Airport Terminal, Casuarina, Nakara, Northern Territory University, Wanguri, Leanyer, Wagaman, and Rapid Creek.

The inside is lined with a Darwin travel guide page - complete with a vivid Beagle Gulf sunset photograph and text describing Darwin’s Botanical Gardens, the Reserve Bank, Supreme Court, Beaufort Darwin Centre, and the joys of sailing, swimming, and water-skiing on the Timor Sea.

No two designs are the same!

I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.

When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.

From there I carefully stitch together the pages and fold them over to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
