Description
This handcrafted slimline wallet is made from the carefully selected original pages of a 1960's Golden Circle Tropical Cook Book. This design features the image of the classic retro scene of a punch bowl all set for entertaining alongside the handy recipe for a 'Orange-Pineapple Punch Bowl' and it has been lined with a vintage inspired paper featuring a floral pattern on a mint green background.
The pages have been covered with clear pvc to protect the paper and stitched together to create a true limited edition and collectable!
This wallet is a great little accessory to use for cash, cards, blister pack medications, or anything else you'd like to keep protected in your bag. It will be the perfect gift for someone who loves to cook, eat or collect anything retro and would even look great displayed on the kitchen bench as a place to keep recipe cuttings.
The wallet is approximately 16 cm wide by 9 cm high (it is just a bit longer than an Australian $5 note. It closes with a magnetic clasp.
Ultimately the paper will crease a little with wear, adding to its life story.
Designed and sewn in Queensland, Australia.

Creative Process
Creative Process
No two designs are the same!
I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.
When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.
From there I carefully stitch together the pages to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
