Description
A handmade design created for music and vintage lovers alike!
This wallet is made from an original page of sheet music from the 1940s 'Chappell & Co' Dance Album No 154 and features the music entitle 'Little Miss Wooden Shoes'* and 'Knitting Sextet'. It has been lined with a vintage patterned paper in a floral pattern with orange geometric shapes.
The pages have been covered with pvc to protect the paper and stitched together to create a true limited edition and collectable!
The Lyssy May slimline wallet is a great little accessory to use for travel documents, face masks, blister pack medications, or anything else you'd like to keep protected.
The size of the wallet is approximately 18 cm wide by 9.5 cm high. It closes with magnetic clasps.
Ultimately the paper will crease a little with wear, adding to its life story.
Designed and sewn in Queensland, Australia.
*Miss Hook of Holland (1907): The song "Little Miss Wooden Shoes" was featured in this popular musical comedy. The lyrics describe a Dutch girl who wears wooden shoes.

Creative Process

No two designs are the same!
I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.
When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.
From there I carefully stitch together the pages to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
