A one-of-a-kind wallet handcrafted from the pages of a 1981 vintage gardening book.

This slimline wallet is made from carefully selected original pages of Introduction to Basic Gardening by Sunset Books (first printed 1963). The chosen page features beautiful botanical illustrations and descriptions of perennial flowering plants — Hydrangea, Lilac, and Gardenia.

I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.

When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.

From there I carefully stitch together the pages and fold them over to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
