Recycled Street Map Wallet - Brisbane and Surrounding Suburbs

Where are you headed?

This handcrafted slimline wallet is made from the original pages of a Brisbane and Greater Region UBD street directory. The pages have been covered in clear PVC, folded and machine sewn to protect the paper. A true limited edition collectable.

This wallet features a sweeping overview of Brisbane and its surrounding suburbs across both sides - the flap shows Loganlea, Logan, Waterford West, Beenleigh, Loganholme, Edens Landing, Bethania, Tanah Merah, Kingston, Meadowbrook, Griffith University, Shailer Park, Cornubia, Eagleby, and the Logan and Albert Rivers (map grids 261–264, joins map 006).

The body shows the full Brisbane overview from Albany Creek, Zillmere, Aspley, Chermside, Nudgee, Eagle Farm, and Brisbane Airport (Domestic and International Terminals) across to Enoggera, The Gap, Ashgrove, Fortitude Valley, Milton, City, Toowong, Mt Coot-tha, Wynnum, Manly, and Tingalpa (map grids 137–164).

The back shows Greenbank Military Camp, Springfield, Browns Plains, Park Ridge, Regents Park, Marsden, Logan, Waterford West, Beenleigh, and Loganholme (joins map 011). 

The inside is lined with an index page from the directory. Please note: the index page lining and any advertisements shown may vary between individual wallets.

No two designs are the same!

I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.

When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.

From there I carefully stitch together the pages and fold them over to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
