This handcrafted slimline wallet is made from the original pages of a Gold Coast and region street directory published by Universal Publishers Pty Ltd. The pages have been covered in clear PVC, folded and machine sewn to protect the paper. A true limited edition collectable.

This wallet features the southern Gold Coast suburbs across both sides — the flap shows Palm Beach 4221 and the Coral Sea (joins 60) including Elanora High, Schuster Park, Pine Lake, Bay of Palms Resort, Palm Beach Currumbin High, and the Sail Club. The body shows Palm Beach 4221 with Pine Lake Village Retirement Village, The Pines Shopping Centre, and the Bay of Palms Resort. The back shows Currumbin Waters 4223 and Elanora 4221 including Currumbin Creek, the Community Centre, Meth Croft Sporting Complex, St Augustines Catholic Primary, RSL Care Jubilee Gardens Retirement Community, and Currumbin Community Special School. The flap exterior shows Currumbin Valley 4223 and Cobaki Lakes 2486 NSW with Currumbin Creek crossing the Queensland–New South Wales border (joins 80).

No two designs are the same!

I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.

When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.

From there I carefully stitch together the pages and fold them over to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
