This handcrafted slimline wallet gives original pages from a UBD street directory a new life, with a coastal map stretching from Stapylton to Robina. Pale blue waterways, green hinterland and familiar roads make it a nostalgic keepsake for anyone with a connection to the Coast.

The flap features the southern Gold Coast around Nerang, Advancetown Lake, Robina, Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach. Open it to discover Stapylton, the Pimpama River and the islands and waterways around the northern Gold Coast. On the back, the map takes in Coombabah Lake, the Coomera River and Southport.

The original paper pages are covered in clear PVC, folded and machine sewn to protect the paper. The inside is lined with a street directory index page, adding another little detail to explore. Please note: the index page lining and any advertisements shown may vary between individual wallets.

No two designs are the same!

I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.

When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.

From there I carefully stitch together the pages and fold them over to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
