This handcrafted slimline wallet is made from the original pages of a Brisbane and Greater Region UBD street directory published between 2000 and 2009. The pages have been covered in clear PVC, folded and sewn to protect the paper. A true limited edition collectable.

This wallet features map 178 across both sides — the flap shows Indooroopilly, Taringa, Mt Coot-tha Forest, Moore Park Creek, and the Queensland Equestrian Centre. The body shows Sinnamon Park, Lone Pine Sanctuary, Sherwood Forest, and Sherwood, with the Brisbane River winding through. The back shows Fig Tree Pocket, Jay Park, Chelmer, Graceville, Long Pocket, and the Brisbane River.

The inside is lined with an index page (note that indexes and advertisements may vary from shown depending on which edition I use).

I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.

When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.

From there I carefully stitch together the pages and fold them over to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
