This one-of-a-kind wallet is handcrafted from the original pages of a Melbourne street directory from the 2000s - a pre-GPS navigational staple that guided locals and visitors through the city grid. Each page has been carefully covered in clear PVC and stitched together to preserve the paper, creating a wallet that's as durable as it is distinctive.

This edition features the western Melbourne City Centre grid — bounded by Spencer, Flinders, Queen and La Trobe Streets — plus the lush green of Flagstaff Gardens in West Melbourne. No two designs are the same!

I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.

When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.

From there I carefully stitch together the pages and fold them over to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
