This handcrafted slimline wallet is made from the original pages of a Queensland regional road atlas. The pages have been covered in clear PVC, folded and machine sewn to protect the paper. A true limited edition collectable.

This wallet features a large-scale overview of the Moreton Bay region across both sides — the flap shows Strathpine, Bald Hills, Albany Creek, Zillmere, Aspley, Sandgate, Brighton Bay, Boondall, Nudgee Beach, Cabbage Tree Head, and Fishermans Islands (joins map 009). The body shows Caboolture, Donnybrook, Toorbul, Banksia Beach, Sandstone Point, Bongaree, and Bribie Island National Park with the Pumicestone Channel (joins map 004). The back shows Burpengary, Deception Bay, Kallangur, Murrumba Downs, North Lakes, Kippa-Ring, Redcliffe, Scarborough, Woody Point, and the stunning expanse of Moreton Bay. 

The inside is lined with an index page from the directory (note that the index any advertisements shown may vary between individual wallets).

No two designs are the same!

I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.

When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.

From there I carefully stitch together the pages and fold them over to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
