This handcrafted slimline wallet is made from the original pages of a Brisbane and Greater Region street directory published by Universal Publishers Pty Ltd. The pages have been covered in clear PVC, folded and machine sewn to protect the paper. A true limited edition collectable.

This wallet features the Redcliffe Peninsula across both sides — the flap shows Kippa-Ring 4021 and Redcliffe 4020 (map 91, joins 81) including Anzac Ave, Redcliffe Hospital, Redcliffe Showground, and Redcliffe Cemetery. The body shows Clontarf 4019 and Margate 4019 including Clontarf Beach High, Duffield Rd, and the Margate area. The back shows the stunning Birrimbile Bay and Bramble Bay coastline with Woody Point 4019. The inside is lined with a road clearance heights index page listing Brisbane suburbs including Chandler, Chelmer, Clayfield, Coorparoo, Corinda, and Dakabin. I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.

When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.

From there I carefully stitch together the pages and fold them over to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
