This handcrafted slimline wallet is made from the original pages of an Australian Road Atlas published by Penguin Books in 1995. The pages have been covered in clear PVC, folded and stitched by hand to protect the paper. A true limited edition collectable.

This wallet is a love letter to Sydney — featuring the city's inner suburbs, harbour, and northern beaches across all three sides. The flap shows inner Sydney including Newtown, Redfern, Surry Hills, Kensington, Randwick, Coogee, Bondi, Centennial Park, Woollahra, Waverley, and Bronte. The body shows the northern beaches corridor including Garigal National Park, Frenchs Forest, Davidson, Beacon Hill, Dee Why, Brookvale, Manly Vale, Queenscliff, and Harbord. The back shows the inner harbour including Sydney CBD, Neutral Bay, Cremorne, Mosman, Balmoral, Chatswood, Lane Cove, Balmain, Pyrmont, Darling Point, Vaucluse, Watsons Bay, and Sydney Harbour National Park. The inside is lined with an atlas index page listing Australian towns beginning with Pa–Pe.

No two designs are the same!

I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.

When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.

From there I carefully stitch together the pages and fold them over to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
