Vintage Sheet Music Wallet - "Pattering Raindrops and Crossing the Bridge"

A one-of-a-kind wallet handcrafted from an original page of 1940s sheet music from 'First Year at the Piano' by John M. Williams.

This wallet is created from a page from a piano lesson book and features two pieces — "Pattering Raindrops" (attributed to composer Adelung) and "Crossing the Bridge" (composed by Czerny). Above Pattering Raindrops it carries the wording 'this splendid little study should be kept up until the book is finished. It is invaluable for strengthening the forth and fifth fingers and it also sounds well' — whilst Crossing the Bridge is excellent for 'crossing the hands back and forth'.

Lined with a sample piece of beautifully textured floral wallpaper in deep blue, pinks and greens.

I love to collect vintage and retro books, magazines and other special documents such as sheet music and street directories to create a unique collection of wallets.

When designing a wallet, I select and cut out the pages (one for the outside and one for the lining) and cover them with clear PVC to have a waterproof protection.

From there I carefully stitch together the pages and fold them over to create your wallet, adding a Lyssy May label in the process to ensure its handmade story is shared.
